Banana Movie (3 Min | Experimental Comedy) – Directed by Sam Cohen
Sam Cohen, the mastermind behind indie cult classics “Lumberjack” and “Lactown,” returns with
another mind-bending creation: “The Banana Movie.” Known for his unique blend of surrealism
and dark comedy, Cohen has carved a niche for himself in the world of independent cinema with
his offbeat storytelling and unconventional narratives. In “The Banana Movie,” we follow a
hitchhiker’s surreal homoerotic journey as he meets his demise.
A Woman Under An Inferno Sky (6 Min | Experimental Drama) – Directed by Kris Salvi
Kris Salvi, a Worcester native, has made a name for himself as a versatile artist, excelling in
filmmaking, acting, writing, and directing. His latest creation, “A Woman Under An Inferno Sky,”
delves into the riveting tale of a woman’s journey spanning from the early 1900s to the
modern-day world, following a failed suicide attempt.
Distant Memories (10 Min | Drama) – Directed by Chris Esper
Originally from New Jersey, Chris Esper discovered his passion for film as a teen when he
received his first camera. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Recording Arts, he
became an award-winning filmmaker, directing many acclaimed shorts including “Imposter” and
“Yesteryear.” His newest film, a highly anticipated drama, explores the story of Anna, an aging
woman battling a mind-altering disease.
Le Monstro (9 Min | Historical Drama) – Directed by Gabrielle Rosson
Gabrielle Rosson, a staple of New England’s creative landscape, showcases her prowess as a
writer, director, singer and actor in “Le Monstro.” Inspired by the Victorian Ape Woman, Julia
Pastrana, and her husband Theodor Lent, this film brings together a wealth of New England
talent, both on-screen and behind the scenes, to explore themes of unrequited love, beauty, and
acceptance.
Take 2 (20 Min | Comedy) – Directed by Mark Meagher
Mark Meagher is an award-winning producer and union set medic making his directorial debut.
His film credits include the Oscar-winning film “Coda,” and numerous others such as “Little
Women,” “Knives Out,” and “Hocus Pocus 2.” He’s produced a number of independent films in
New England and is thrilled to introduce audiences to his first original mockumentary television
series “Take 2,” which follows an aspiring actress and her manager as they tackle the
challenges of navigating a myriad of unpredictable personalities within the industry.
Thursday’s Special (20 Min | Comedy) – Directed by Rob Levinson
From acclaimed and award-winning writer and director, Rob Levinson, comes a delightful
Jewish romantic comedy that promises to be a blend of humor, heart, and chutzpah. In
“Thursday’s Special,” Benny’s life takes an unexpected turn just as he’s preparing to marry a
woman from his shtetl.
Bandiots (15 Min | Comedy) – Directed by Michael Gonza
Michael Gonza, a respected actor, writer, and director, brings his latest comedic venture,
“Bandiots,” to the screen. The film follows the uproarious escapades of two factory workers
seeking revenge against their former employer.
