Following its tremendous success in 2023, the legendary stage production of The Master and Margarita, based on Mikhail Bulgakov’s timeless novel, is once again touring the United States and Canada.

This October, audiences will have the chance to see the acclaimed production directed by Valery Belyakovich, featuring the incomparable Ivars Kalniņš in the role of the great Procurator.

Bulgakov worked on the novel for 12 years. Like Gogol, he once tried to burn his manuscript. In the margins, he wrote: “Finish it before I die!”
Today, the work continues to move and captivate audiences, revealing something new to each viewer.

A poignant love story, the biblical struggle between good and evil, a dazzling satire of everyday life and the morals of ordinary people “corrupted by the housing problem,” and the story of Pontius Pilate woven into the novel within the novel — these are only part of Bulgakov’s extraordinary world.

But at the heart of the production is the story of the Master and Margarita: a story of a great love capable of overcoming any obstacle.
