Lonely Seal International Film, Screenplay & Music Festival

Book Signing with an Oscar-Winner, late-night with Spike & Mike’s Sick & Twisted Festival of Animation, and tons of awesome indie cinema.

Welcome to our 9th Annual Festival. This year we’re hosting a book signing, talk, and screening with Oscar-winning filmmaker Ernest Thompson (Best Adapted Screenplay, On Golden Pond, 1982), plus a late-night showcase of Spike & Mike’s Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation – curated by Spike himself. Our festival party – slated for Saturday night, August 29, ends right before Spike & Mike’s starts, so come for our party, and stay for Spike & Mike’s Sick & Twisted Festival of Animation – which is a party onto itself.

As a multiple-time “Top 100 Best Reviewed Festival” on FilmFreeway (out of 12,000+), with 191 five-star reviews from filmmakers, writers and musicians – putting us in the top 1.5%-2.0% of Five-Star Reviews – we also highlight women’s voices, films about disabilities, minorities, and so much more – including hysterical comedy selections, and a music videos crafted from around the world. In addition, offer a writers and filmmakers career strategy workshop designed to help creators get funding, distribution and career strategy that will likely shave three to five years off their journey toward their goals.

Lonely Seal is NOT a traveling festival – outside of the fact that our company is based in Hermosa Beach, California. This festival is a Boston Original – borne at the Regent Theatre in Arlington in 2018 – and we’ve been there ever since. This is your festival, Boston. Please come out and support it. We look forward to seeing you there.
