About Ray Greene…
Being brought up in the era of great R&B | Soul music legends, Ray Greene has developed some highly refined skills in the traditions of Gospel, Jazz and the Blues. The fact is, Ray has performed and recorded with many successful and influential individuals in the fields of Pop, Funk and Soul music; most notably Natalie Cole, the Isley Brothers, Rick James and the Queen of Soul herself, Aretha Franklin.
Ray, received a degree in Music Performance at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music in 1996 and was selected by the popular and innovative soul/fusion band Tower of Power, where he served as the lead vocalist and trombonist for several years while traveling throughout North America, Europe and parts of Asia.
He was then asked to join world-renowned guitarist Carlos Santana in February 2016. From Dubai and Singapore, to Australia, Africa and Europe, Santana’s music and live performances have been a phenomenal showcase for Ray Greene’s vocals and musicianship. Santana has most recently been on tour with Earth, Wind & Fire.
The legendary Maya Angelou recently recruited Greene to perform a capella renditions of her favorite inspirational hymns while opening an engagement at the Boston Opera House. Greene has most recently signed a licensing and recording deal with Ubuntu Records in the United Kingdom. His recording entitled “Stay”, recently released in the Spring of 2023 and features songs that he wrote and produced specifically for the styles of Soul/R&B music.
He will continue his first ever solo tour to Europe to support the release of the recording after his performance at Arlington’s Showplace of Entertainment.
