Over 70,000 fans gathered in Memphis last August to celebrate Elvis Week 2007. During the week, EPE introduced the first-time event, the 2007 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. Twenty-four of the best tribute artists from around the world traveled to Memphis to compete during the event for the title of Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist of 2007, where Shawn Klush of Pennsylvania was announced as the winner.

EPE is bringing the contest back again in 2008 and once again looking for the Elvis tribute artist that "best represents the legacy of Elvis Presley." Tribute artists will receive the opportunity to compete in preliminary rounds of the competition in various locations around the world (including right here at the Regent!) for their chance to win a spot in the semi-finals that will take place in Memphis during Elvis Week 2008 in August.

Only winners of official preliminary rounds of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest will be able to compete in the semi-finals for their chance at the title. If you are interested in competing in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, you may do so at any official preliminary round location including the Regent Theatre.  (Please check back often as we will be posting more information on how to compete in the preliminary round, as well as how you can simply come and enjoy the competition as an audience member.)

The winner of the 2008 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest will receive the title of Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist of 2008, be officially recognized by Elvis Presley Enterprises and receive various other prizes that will be announced soon.
