A Quick History Lesson

Claiming more than 55,000 deaths, the failed zombie apocalypse of 2003 was one of the worst tragedies in American history. Fortunately, the virus and its hosts were contained before escaping much further than its area of origin - East Texas. During their confinement at a local prison, the infected were cured with a few persisting side effects—namely, frail skin and a short temper. After months of rehab, the survivors, known as necro-sapiens, were released back into society with hopes to live normal lives once again. But with the devastation brought on by the virus still being fresh in the minds of conservative
locals, re-integrating into society has proven to be a challenge for the necro-sapien population.
